Alan Tilley is a founding principal of Bryan, Mansell and Tilley LLP. He has significant expertise in turnaround and restructuring, managing the complex issues in preserving enterprise value while operating in the zone of insolvency. He is a frequent speaker on cross border European restructuring and has written several articles on the subject. He is the 2008 recipient of the TMA International Chairman’s award for outstanding service to the international turnaround and restructuring profession.


Professional experience
Alan began his career with Arthur Andersen in the U.K. and France. He subsequently held senior executive positions with leading international capital goods manufacturers; Grove Cranes, Lansing Bagnall and Simon Access. He began as a turnaround practitioner in 1994 undertaking the MBI of the Lynton Group in the U.K. He has been European CRO of Pelikan Hardcopy International and CRO of Clark Material Handling Europe. He was President of Bio-tek Instruments, an Italian company in workout with operations in U.K., Germany, France and Switzerland. He has significant European auto industry experience as CRO and restructuring advisor with Fori Eurotec, Venture Peguform, Metal Castings Ltd, Dura Automotive, Alcoa Scandinavian Casting Centers, JAC Products Europe, Cloyes Gear and Product, and Collins and Aikman.

As Restructuring Officer of La Seda de Barcelona, a listed Spanish company in breach of covenants of a €600 million facility he has been engaged in complex cross border operational issues and balance sheet restructuring involving both Spanish and UK processes.
